With credits across television and “Lady Gaga & The Muppets Holiday Special.” As if that weren’t enough, Salli has amassed an impressive list of pop culture “firsts,” including being the first female to executive produce an NFL Super Bowl Halftime Special (and she’s done it twice now!), orchestrating multiple MTV Video Music Awards, the first YouTube Live event, the YouTube Creator Summit and the first YouTube Music Awards in 2013. Recently she was the Co-Executive Producer of the first PaleyWKND Event at the Paley Center for Media . Needless to say, Salli has been instrumental in changing the landscape around traditional television production and laying the groundwork for the explosion of high-quality, live digital content & events.
During her impressive 20-year tenure at MTV Networks, Salli climbed the ranks early in her career, rising from Production Manager to Executive Producer, Senior Vice President, Executive in Charge of Production. As a network executive, she was instrumental in the launch of the MTV Times Square Studio, MTV’s offspring channel MTVU, she managed content partnerships with NFL, NBA and MLB, and she oversaw the first-ever deal between NBC and MTV to produce Olympics programming, all while producing more than 1000 hours of television content on the biggest platform for pop culture.
In 2008, Frattini founded Sunset Lane Entertainment. The company quickly made a name for itself by seamlessly bridging the gap between traditional broadcast production and online streaming. From live events to reality and sports programming, SLE has produced global, national and local events on multiple formats, and will be celebrating its 15th anniversary as we head into 2023. Salli’s focus for the company continues to be on music and sports programming, projects that illuminate women’s empowerment and projects that are community-, cause- and pop-culture oriented.
